Despite the exciting return of Morgan Bean and Makailyn Stout-Dukes to the Royals 16U team to play in the 18U division, it was not enough for the Royals to get one win this weekend. The Royals committed 21 total errors over 4 games, losing all four games.

WEEKEND RECAP

Friday, June 17 - Game 1: Royals fall behind early and couldn't come back in a 13-0 loss. Royals struggled to contain the high powered offense. A single in the 1st inning by Savannah Roberts was the single hit for the Royals in this game. Roberts went 1-for-2 at the plate. Alexandria Cowan started the game. She pitched 2/3 of an inning, allowing seven runs on three hits and striking out one. Nadia Foushi threw 3 and 1/3 innings in relief.

Friday, June 17 - Game 2: Royals stayed in it until the end, losing 3-2. The game was tied at two in the bottom of the 4th inning when an error committed by the Royals lost them the game. Marigrace Hoese lasted 4 innings, allowing three runs and striking out five. Addison Dzurovcik, Amber Rios, and Morgan Bean each collected one hit.

Saturday, June 18 - Game 3: Royals fight back after committing 4 errors early on to finish the game with a 7-7 tie. Savannah Roberts went 2-for-2, with a single, a triple, and being intentionally walked. Morgan Bean, Alexandria Cowan, Lillian Skelly, Gabrielle Cowan, Makailyn Stout-Dukes, and Addison Dzurovcik each collected one hit in the game. Bean and Amber Rios each collected a pair of RBIs.

Sunday, June 19 - Game 4: The Royals watched the game slip away early, making a comeback unlikely in a 10-1 loss. They struggled putting points on the board and stopping the offensive attack of the opposing team. Amber Rios and Gabrielle Cowan were the only two with a hit. Rios singled and G. Cowan had a standup double.

Alexandria Cowan started the game, going 3 innings, allowing eight runs on eight hits. Marigrace Hoese threw 2/3 of an inning out of the bullpen.
